10 Unique Experiences in Las Vegas

Think you've seen it all in Vegas? Think again!

Sure, you've strolled down the Strip and seen the fountains at the Bellagio, but have you taken a water slide through a shark tank? Thought not. Read on for our Top 10 unique experiences in Las Vegas!

1. Neon Museum
Take a guided tour through the place where neon signs go to die: the Neon Museum. Home to some of the most treasured and world-famous signs of Las Vegas, the Neon Boneyard also serves as inspiration to fascinated artists, historians and designers.  The museum is a popular place for photo ops, and even weddings.

2. The Mob Museum
A personal favourite, the Mob Museum delves into the murky world of gangland crime, showcasing both sides of the battle between the Mafia and law enforcement.  Learn about notorious criminals such as Al Capone, Lucky Luciano and John Gotti and then finish off your experience with a drink at the hidden speakeasy bar in the basement (walk down the stairs on the side of the building and knock on the door to get in).

3. Water slide through a shark tank

The Tank is an award winning pool at the Golden Nugget which features a 200,000 gallon shark tank aquarium, a three-story complex, and 17 private cabanas, and most importantly a waterslide that passes through the shark tank. Climb 30 feet in the air. Close your eyes and rush down through the Tank on a world-class, one-of-a-kind waterslide with the thrill of swimming right next to sharks.

4. Get married.....at Dennys!
I'll take my burger with a side of marriage, please.  You can say your vows at Denny's on Fremont Street and cut into a wedding cake made from Pancake Puppies - a calorific way to start off married life!  To mark the occasion, you can get your wedding photo taken in the interactive photo booth and enjoy a Grand Slam for the bride and groom.

5. Zipline between 2 hotels
You may have heard of the zipline down Fremont Street (which we also recommend) but for something really insane you can zipline between 2 hotel towers at the Rio. It begins on the 50th floor of the one tower and carries up to two people at a time about 800 feet down to the next tower. In the middle of freaking out, you'll get to check out stunning views of the Strip to the east and Spring Mountains to the west.

6. Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Fancy yourself as a bit of a speed demon? At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway you can put your money where your mouth is and get behind the wheel of a Ferrari race car, as well as some of the fastest exotic cars on the market. Feel the thrill of a 600 hp NASCAR race car during a high-speed ride along, or live out your cop movie dreams with a classic Police Chase experience.

7. Dig This Vegas
Maybe fancy cars don’t do it for you, but giant machines do. If that’s the case, you can drive a bulldozer, excavator and other construction-related machinery with Dig This Vegas and take playing in the sand box to a whole new level at this heavy equipment playground for grown ups!  Choose your weapon and start smashing, grabbing and digging massive holes. This may be the ultimate stress release.

8. Skydive indoors (or outdoors)

Experience the thrilling sensation of skydiving, without hurling yourself out of an airplane. Does the thought of jumping out of an airplane make your palms sweaty with fear? You can still experience the sensation of freefalling with a visit to Vegas Indoor Skydiving where you can float, fly, and free fall through the air from the safety of indoors. Or if you like the idea of jumping from a plane, you can try real life skydiving with views of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Colorado River or the Valley of Fire.

9. Bodies: The Exhibition
This exhibition offers an incredible insight into the systems of the human body. An innovate preservation process allows you to view 200 human specimens, dissected and tastefully displayed. While this may sound somewhat grizzly, Bodies is a highly educational and fascinating experience that can be uniquely yours in Las Vegas.

10. Freakling Bros Horror Shows
If you're in town for Halloween then you need to check out this interactive R-rated haunted attraction. Truly a unique experience, the cast of actors will have you screaming for mercy as you witness your own death, attend a terrifying circus of horrors, and enter Castle Vampyre. This isn't your standard Halloween act, so don't bring the kids!
