Viking Sea:
In 2015 we saw the debut of the Viking Star and this year she gets a sister ship. Set to sail in April the Viking Sea is planned to wow it’s guests. The cruise line focuses on the 55+ crowd and offers opportunities to dine indoors and outdoors, includes complimentary specialty restaurants and buffets. Passengers may enjoy a complimentary thermal spa at the Snow Grotto.
Holland America Line’s Koningsdam:
In April this year Holland American Line will introduce its largest ship ever built, the 2,650 passenger, Pinnacle-class Koningsdam is anticipated to feature HAL’s classic elements and have an contemporary look. A unique shipboard BLEND experience, where you create your own wine, is getting considerable excitement.
Carnival Vista:
May this year will bring us the newest “Fun Ship” from Carnival. The Carnival Vista is set to be the cruise line’s largest ship ever built and offers fun-seeking activities such as the first IMAX Theater at sea and a thrilling suspended cycling experience called SkyRide, where you ride a track above the sports deck (some 150 feet above the sea).
Harmony of the Seas:
The world’s largest ship is debuting in June this year with its capacity for 5,500 Passengers. Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas offers amenities found on RCI’s Oasis class ships and high tech treats seen on their Quantum Class ships. From a Central Park neighborhood with real trees and a Boardwalk with carousel to robot bartenders this new ship is sure to amaze.
Seven Seas Explorer:
Regent Seven Seas is claiming their new ship will be the most luxurious ship in the world. You may decide for yourself in July this year. The over-the-top decor includes a Swarovski crystal sculpture in the Canyon Ranch SpaClub and an opulent Observation Lounge themed on the Roaring Twenties.
Seabourn’s Encore:
Arriving in December Seabourn’s first new ship in five years and its largest is expected to have dramatic flair and contemporary spaces designed by Adam D Tihany who is working with a design theme of "the theater" and has been bragging this 604-passenger ship will break records for luxuriousness.
