It is late 1960s and Disney managers want to take the ‘Brand Disney’ to the next level of vacation experience. They embark on searching for serious designs and ideal location on which to put up a world beating vacation resort. As fate would have it, the Polynesians of South Pacific had previously been a popular subject and they thus decide to design the new resort with Polynesia as a theme.
They then embark on building a resort surrounded by picture perfect, lush vegetation, white sand beaches and Koi ponds. They then torch line the waterfront in a method that seems to have been inspired by airport’s runway. From there, they construct world beating restaurants and other resort facilities.

To attract people of all kinds, the resort boasts a monorail that helps its guests to get around. Next there is the family style luau/hula dance and the fire knife performer. Of course to keep the kids engaged, the resort had to come up with the Supervised Children's Activity Center that was inspired by classic stories such as Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, and Peter Pan.
