Due to ongoing Forest Fires affecting British Columbia, both Air Canada and WestJet have stepped in to offer discounts on flights out of the BC interior.
Air Canada
If you do not have a ticket and are seeking to fly from Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Prince George and Williams Lake as a result of the state of emergency, Air Canada is providing an additional 25 percent discount from these communities to help facilitate travel to any destination in North America (Promotion code: A3VRZAR1). If you have a ticket with Air Canada for travel to/from/via affected areas, for travel between now and July 22, you may change your flight without paying a change fee.
WestJet
WestJet is offering a 50 percent discount on flights booked by July 19, for travel up to July 25 for people buying tickets out of Prince George to any domestic market (Discount Code: WBYFWWN). The airline is also waiving their fee for changes or cancellations for flights in and out of Prince George, booked on or before July 9, and travelling between July 9 and July 25.
